FOUNDER & CEO
Coach Weedlens Beauvil
Weedlens “Coach B” Beauvil is the founder and CEO of I’M NEXT Foundation; a Teacher, Mentor and Life Coach. Originally, from Haiti, Coach B grew up in Winter Haven and is a graduate from Bartow High School where he played basketball for four years and helped his team win the state championship in 2010. Continuing his education at Stetson University where he played basketball for 1 year before transferring to Tennessee Temple University in 2011. Coach B majored in Psychology minored in Bible and Physical Education and was a scholarship basketball player for the Crusaders.
Coach B returned to Winter Haven, is now a Physical Education Teacher and Head basketball Coach at Discovery High School, and recently named the 2020 FACA Independent Coach of the Year. For 3 years he was a trainer for one of the top basketball training companies in the world, The National Basketball Academy, where he travels across the state partnering with NBA teams for their youth basketball clinics.
Coach B has always had a passion for sports and young people and created the idea of connecting his education background and his knowledge/love for basketball to create opportunities for youth in the community. Coach B accepted Christ at Tennessee Temple and acknowledges that is what fuels his passion and has allowed him to realize that life is bigger than just him. He credits his faith in God, family, coaches and mentors for his success and wants to do the same for others. His motto has always been “Your passion is for you, your purpose is for others'', through mentoring programs and basketball training, he’s building the perfect formula of success and helping young people see their full potential and find their purpose in life on and off the court.
Coach B wants to lead by example, he is transparent in that he shares his testimony with his students and mentees, and he allows them to see that there will be challenges and obstacles in life; but how you respond to those challenges and obstacles determines the outcome. His goal is to drive kids to pursue their goals and dreams and to leave a legacy through mentorship, guidance and sharing God’s love. His goal is to get them from their now, to their next and that goal birthed I’M NEXT Foundation.
